Meet The Prophets Part I

Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to Meet the Prophets Part I. Today we will be talking with the Prophet Jesus and Muhammad. It will be our opportunity to get to know who they are. I will ask a question and each prophet will answer according to how he would have his followers live.

Good Prophets please tell us how you would have us relate to those who seek to destroy God and His people?

Muhammad: “Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into the hearts of the enemies of Allah and your enemies. , and others besides, whom ye may not know, but whom Allah doth know!
Qur’an 8:60

Jesus: “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you!”
Matthew 5:44

Good Prophets please what if we are attacked how should we respond?

Muhammad: “Will you not fight a fold who broke their promises, solemn pledges, and purposed to drive out the messenger and did attack you first?”
Qur’an 9:13
Jesus: “If anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other…”
Matthew 5:39

Good Prophets what reward or benefit can there be for us in what you tell us?

Muhammad: “And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter.”
Qur’an 2:191

Jesus: “Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven!”
Matthew 5:11

Good Prophet how should we deal with a woman caught in adultery?

Muhammad: “There came to him (The Holy Prophet) a woman from Ghamid and said: Allah’s Messenger, I have committed adultery, so purify me. He (The Holy Prophet) turned her away. On the following day she said: Allah’s Messenger, Why do you turn me away?…By Allah, I have become pregnant. He said; Well, if you insist upon it, then go away until you give birth to the child. When she was delivered she came with the child wrapped in rag and said: here is the child to whom I have given birth. He said: Go away and suckle him until you wean him. When she had weaned him, she came to him…She said: Allay’s Apostle, here is he as I have weaned him and he eats food. He (the Holy Prophet) entrusted the childe to one of the Muslims and then pronounced punishment. And she was put in a ditch up to her chest and he commanded people and they stoned her.
Muslim, vol. 3, book 17, no. 4206
Jesus: “Then the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery and made her stand in the middle. They said to Him, ‘Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of committing adultery. Now in the law, Moses commanded us to stone such a woman. So what do you say?’ They said this to test Him, so that they could have some charge to bring against Him. Jesus bent down and began to write on the ground with His finger. But when they continued asking Him, He straightened and said to them, ‘Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.’ Again He bent down and wrote on the ground. And in response, they went away one by one, beginning with the elders. So He was left alone with the woman before Him. The Jesus straightened up and said to her, ‘Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?’ She replied, ‘No one, sir?’ Then Jesus said, ‘Neither do I condemn you. Go, and from now on do not sin any more.’”
John 7:53- 8:11

And this brings us to the end part one of meet the prophets. We hope you have had a chance to become acquainted with the character that forms the values that govern their respective followers. While followers may not be perfect in their demonstration of their faith we pray this meeting clarifies the character for which they strive. Until our next meeting, may peace and wisdom be yours abundantly!
