Blasphemy
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son” John 3:16
Blasphemy is calling God a liar.
Declaring your worthlessness, denying your eternal value while gathering evidence to support your self-contempt and justifying your apathy isn’t humility; it is blasphemy!

It is, “Blast’a Me!”
(Said with perfect Italian Diction, mind you!)
It took me a mintue to put together what you said, but I believe it came clear to me. I think of false-humility which is so prevalent in Christian circles these days. I see Christian circles loaded with getting involved in activities and organizations in which they “agree” with and refusal to be involved, on any level, with those which they disagree. I encounter this day in and out.
Our attitude should be like that of Christ, who even though he disagreed with us did not consider His disagreement with us something to be used to His own advantage, but instead humbled Himself and became a servant.
Our attitude should be like that of Christ, who even though He was right about everything did not consider His being right about everything to be used to His own advantage, but instead humbled Himself and became a servant.
I’m sure you can envision endless applications as I’ve spelled out two. This might clear up a more authentic understanding of humility and keep us from blasphemy.
Blasphemy: a necessary journey to be on to get to belief.
